Melanie Taddeo is the visionary founder, President and CEO of Connect4Life, a registered Canadian charity dedicated to skills development for individuals of all abilities.

With a background as a special education teacher, Melanie has spent more than 20 years empowering students with diverse needs, ensuring they have the tools and support to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

As Ontario’s first legally blind teacher, Melanie is a passionate advocate for disability inclusion and accessibility.

Melanie believes that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves access to opportunities that enable personal and professional growth.

Melanie Taddeo has authored or co-authored three books. She hosts a several podcast programs about disability awareness and accessibility, and is a frequent lecturer to college and university students. Melanie currently serves as the corporate lead for Connect4Life, which includes the Connect4Life Model – a teaching system of which Centennial College is an official partner, Connect4Life Media Network (featuring on-demand life skills learning delivered through the infrastructure of Connect4Life’s podcast learning platform), the newest Connect4Life chapter in South Africa, and Connect4Life’s accredited work through the United Nations on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Melanie is a graduate of York University. She lives in Mississauga with her husband, Bhekie.
