ABOUT THE NOMINEE
Melanie Taddeo
Melanie is the visionary founder, President, and CEO of Connect4Life, a registered Canadian charity dedicated to skills development for individuals of all abilities.
Melanie Taddeo believes that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves access to opportunities that enable personal and professional growth.
She has authored and co-authored three books. Melanie hosts a several podcast programs about disability awareness & accessibility, and she is a frequent guest lecturer to college and university students.
ON HER PHILANTROPHY
Melanie currently serves as the corporate lead for Connect4Life, which includes the Connect4Life Model – a teaching system of which Centennial College is an official partner, Connect4Life Media Network (featuring on-demand life skills learning delivered through the infrastructure of Connect4Life’s podcast learning platform), the newest Connect4Life chapter in South Africa, and Connect4Life’s accredited work through the United Nations on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Melanie is a graduate of York University. She lives in Mississauga with her husband, Bhekie.
